Nefertiti

Nefertiti, whose name means 'the beautiful one has come,' was the queen of Egypt and wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten during the 18th Dynasty. She played a prominent role in the religious revolution that worshipped the sun god Aten. Unlike many Egyptian queens, she was depicted as a powerful figure equal to her husband in artistic representations. Nefertiti and Akhenaten had six known daughters. She may have ruled as co-regent with her husband and possibly even ruled Egypt independently as Pharaoh after his death under the name Neferneferuaten. Her iconic limestone bust, discovered in 1912, has made her one of the most recognizable figures of ancient Egypt and a symbol of feminine beauty. She disappeared from historical records around Year 14 of Akhenaten's reign, leading to various theories about her fate.
