About Terracotta Army
The Terracotta Army is a vast collection of life-sized clay warrior statues created to guard Emperor Qin Shi Huang's tomb in his afterlife. Each soldier is unique, with distinct facial features, expressions, and details in their armor and clothing. The army consists of over 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses, and 150 cavalry horses. The warriors stand between 1.7-1.9 meters tall and were originally painted in bright colors, though most of the pigments have faded over time. The statues were created using local clay, molded in parts, and assembled using an innovative internal architecture of hollow cores.
